Ju-Jitsu popularity is no more confined in Europe under the umbrella of JJIF. The beneficiaries are from Asia, Africa, and Pan-America. Among the Asian countries, PAKISTAN is the first who knocked on the door of JJIF and received full membership on the eve of the Annual Congress - 1997, at Horgen, Switzerland.
PJJF shown its first appearance at JJIF Summer camp 1997 at Barcelona - Spain. Thereafter a series of activities had been initiated by the PJJF and successfully managed, such as national championships, Participation in international training camps as well as the championships. Pakistan got privilege to become the first country in Asia to have the qualified international and continental referees.
The popularity of Ju-Jitsu can be visualized by induction of Ju-Jitsu in Pakistan Army and other Para-military forces on regular training basis.
PJJF is determined to defuse the Ju-Jitsu at grass root level in Pakistan.< more details > |
