Dear
Friends in sports,
I
like to take this opportunity to talk to the enthusiastic
students in Pakistan and the friends of Ju-Jitsu around the
World.Martial Arts ( Ju-Jitsu ) has gained an increasing popularity
in our region, particularly in Pakistan and shall undoubtedly
contribute towards the promotion of sporting activities and
create the awareness of healthy lifestyle.
The
success of recent World Games Akita-Japan is the prime example
for the popularity of Ju-Jitsu in Asia. Thus, Ju-Jitsu is no
more confined in the four corners of Europe only, but, had spread
all around the World. The official recognition of the World
Games by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has given
more authentication to JJIF (The World governing Body). The
inclusion of Ju-Jitsu in World Games 2005 at Germany is the
evidence of its popularity.
In
Pakistan, recent past was very hectic and busy session in respect
of Ju-Jitsu activities. The visits of Mr. Jacques Noris (8th
DAN from France) and Dr. Keyvan Dehnad (8th DAN from IRAN)
and their respective training sessions with local players
have tremendously increased the interest of other martial
artists into ju-jitsu learning. More particularly, their encouraging
comments telecasted ON-AIR at PTV-World about Pakistani players
and their level of excellence has inspired our youth. Master
Noris has even offered his scholarship for training at France
to one of our young female player.
PJJF
has arranged the live training program to educate the general
masses/public about the importance and rules of ju-jitsu through
Pakistan Television World (A Satellite channel being watched
around the World). Beside it, a series of summer training
camps have been launched by PJJF in the schools/ colleges.
The qualified male and female coaches have been deputed to
train the nursery and to get a strong Pakistani nation.
An
opportunity has been provided to the national players to judge
their level of excellence in the World Championship 2002 at
Uruguay. The recent changes of office bearers in JJIF board
will certainly bring the new wave of fresh ideas in uplifting
the standard of Ju-Jitsu in our region. PJJF has already played
a vital role in popularizing this sport in Asia and now rigorously
busy in promoting the same by extending the hand of cooperation
to the neighboring countries more particularly in central
Asian region. It is our sincere belief that this particular
sport would get its due place in the Olympic Arena very soon.
Before
concluding, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation
and compliments to the technical and Web team of PJJF as their
untiring and hardwork had brought the PJJF Website on the
TOP Ranks of the Martial arts in the World as well as in Pakistan.
